Anapurna camp eye Champions Day at Ascot

Anapurna could still run at Ascot this month before being retired to the paddocks following her victory in the Prix de Royallieu at Longchamp.
Connections of the John Gosden-trained filly will see after making all the running before deciding whether to go for your Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes to bring an additional Group One how she awakens.
Weve got an entry for Ascot so we are going to see how shes from the race then make a decision nearer the time, explained Mark Weinfeld, of breeders Meon Valley Stud.
We aspire to conduct her but she had rather a tricky race in France so we might have to observe how she is.
That would probably be her last race. We dont plan to maintain her in training a year ago.
Shell come back to the paddocks here and begin her own career as a broodmare.
It is too premature to say that stallion she would go to. We have obtained a shortlist but we still have not decided yet.
Joining Anapurna from the paddocks will undoubtedly be her stablemate, after a slight injury caused her to miss the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket, TwistN Shake, that has been retired.
She had a slight setback on Thursday just before we were going to declare for the Sun Chariot so we are going to retire her now, explained Weinfeld.
She will be totally fine. It was something we werent satisfied with on her own tibia.
Fortunately we picked it up. She and three weeks box restll be fine. Thats her career over.
She was really wise. She was Group One placed at Ascot.
It is very exciting for next year, playing with the matings.
The daughter of Kingman was a Recorded winner at Deauville and was runner-up at a Group Three on her launch in Addition to fourth in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
